Hayley Carter won the Dunlop Junior Championships this past weekend beating fellow academy student Mariana Gould in a hard fought battle in the final match. Carter won by a score of 6-7 (4), 6-2, 1-0 (5) earning herself a wildcard into the qualifying rounds of the WTA tour event, the Family Circle Cup, which will he held on Daniel Island, South Carolina from March 31st – April 1st, 2012.       Shannon O’Brien is the 2011 recipient of the USTA South Carolina Kimberly Hampton Award which honors the junior girl player who made the most significant improvements in her game over the last year.
