- Smith Wins Wildewod Challenger

- Carter Wins Dunlop Championships Earning Wildcard into Family Circle Cup

Hayley Carter won the Dunlop Junior Championships this past weekend beating fellow academy student Mariana Gould in a hard fought battle in the final match. Carter won by a score of 6-7 (4), 6-2, 1-0 (5) earning herself a wildcard into the qualifying rounds of the WTA tour event, the Family Circle Cup, which will he held on Daniel Island, South Carolina from March 31st – April 1st, 2012. - Smith Stearns Visits Duke University

This past weekend Smith Stearns Tennis Academy took a large group of academy students to Duke University to watch two college tennis matches.   On Friday, the match was a battle between two top 20 men’s teams. Duke (#10) led by Head Coach Ramsey Smith, son of Stan Smith, took down Illinois (#19) in a hard fought and well played match that resulted in a 7-0 victory. - O'Brien Wins Most Improved Player Award

      Shannon O’Brien is the 2011 recipient of the USTA South Carolina Kimberly Hampton Award which honors the junior girl player who made the most significant improvements in her game over the last year.
